The easiest way to get an offer on a piece of jewelry is to physically bring it into the store. You will never need an appointment, and depending on the day of the week, any of our 5 veteran jewelry buyers will be available to sit down with you to examine your piece.

Our knowledgeable buyers will usually make you an offer within minutes, and our offer will hold for 14 days, if you would prefer to shop around. The customer will always come first, and we will encourage you to sell the piece elsewhere if we feel it is in your best interest.

Frequently Asked Questions

"How can I tell what my jewelry is made of?"

The easiest way to determine what type of precious metal is in your piece is to identify the hallmarks, which are typically found in some inconspicuous place on the piece. These are some of the most common markings that indicate that your jewelry is made of precious materials:

10 karat gold – 10k, 10kt, 417
14 karat gold – 14k, 14kt, 585
18 karat gold – 18k, 18kt, 750
22 karat gold – 22k, 22kt, 916
24 karat gold – 24k, 24kt
Silver – Sterling, 925, Silver
Platinum – 950PT, Platinum, Plat, 900 or 10% Irridium
1/10 GF or 1/20 GF means that the item is Gold Filled. We are able to make offers on certain Gold Filled pieces, but not all of them. If your piece has these marks (or no marks), please send us a picture and description of your item(s).
Vermeil refers to items which are made of sterling silver and have a gold plating. Unless it is a designer piece, we are usually only able to calculate these items based on silver value.

“Is there any jewelry items that Levy’s will not buy?”

Levy’s will not purchase stolen items, non-precious metals, plastic, or glass. We are unable to make offers on certain Gold Filled and costume jewelry items. Please contact us with a picture and description of your piece if it falls into one of these categories.

“Are my items insured?”

All items shipped using Levy’s pre-paid postage are insured up to $1000. If your piece(s) require more insurance, please contact us at Support@LevysFineJewelry.com.

“How long does it take for me to get my money?”

We do our best to give everyone an offer within 24 hours of receiving a piece. Once an offer is accepted, we will authorize payment (Wire Transfer or Check) within 24 hours of your acceptance.
